El amplio alcance del diseño funcional y minimalista creado por Nendo, el estudio fundado en 2002 por Oki Sato, con sedes en Tokio y Milán, trabaja en diversos campos creativos, y colabora con empresas líderes en el sector mobiliario y la moda.
NENDO presenta Qi, la cocina y el baño de diseño minimalista
La colección Qi combina la prestigiosa artesanía italiana de Scavolini y el enfoque distintivo de Nendo, el estudio japonés dirigido por Oki Sato, que interpreta el diseño como sorpresa, experimentación y detalles refinados.
El concepto subyacente gira en torno a la idea de un contenedor (Qi es la palabra japonesa para «contenedor»), un objeto único con una connotación distinta, que encarna un código comunicativo, que puede replicarse innumerables veces. Con este proyecto, Scavolini imagina nuevas formas de habitar el espacio, con el elemento central, el contenedor, descansando sobre estantes de forma lineal. Lo que surge es un sistema de almacenamiento real que domina las composiciones diseñadas tanto para cocinas como para baños.
La colección revela una interpretación rigurosa del gusto minimalista y extremadamente contemporáneo, y encarna valores exclusivos, pensamiento creativo, desafíos innovadores, investigación continua, genuina calidad italiana y detalles finamente trabajados.
El mobiliario Qi se caracteriza por un diseño limpio y natural que hace que sea agradable estar en los espacios que expresan su elegancia a través de la esencialidad de sus detalles. El ambiente transmite una relajante sensación de orden, marcada por los contenedores blancos, el elemento que caracteriza el modelo.
OKI SATO BIOGRAFÍA
Oki Sato nació en 1977 en Toronto (Canada) y en 2002 se licencio en M.A. in Architecture (Waseda University, Tokyo). De origen japonés y con un inmenso talento, su toque distintivo lo ha hecho ser mundialmente reconocido en la escena del diseño internacional. En 2012 fue premiado como Diseñador del Año por la revista Wallpaper y recibió el premio Elle Deco International.
Oki Sato fundó su estudio de diseño NENDO en Japón el año 2002 con tan sólo 24 años de edad. NENDO significa en japonés «moldear arcilla» y describe muy bien la filosofía de diseño de Oki Sato: Transformar la interacción de las personas con los objetos cotidianos creando de «pequeños momentos» en la vida diaria. Esto se puede ver en cada uno de los diseños de Nendo, con su forma minimalista pero aún muy característica y con su toque de humor y simpatía. Hoy en día Nendo tiene varias oficinas alrededor del mundo y posee una impresionante lista de premios, exhibiciones y grandes diseños.
